What a great day we had at the Fall Festival! Several people indicated that they were looking for a church and would be coming to visit our worship services. Others were astounded that we offered it all for free. Everyone seemed to have a wonderful time. Thank you to everyone who worked hard to make it a huge success.

A couple of big events are coming up this month. The Finger Lakes Baptist Association Annual Meeting will be Saturday, October 11. The meeting will be held at Browncroft Baptist Church in Rochester. Starting at 10:00 in the morning there will be classes on church planting, being a trustee, and simple Bible study tips. Everyone is invited to attend. The afternoon will feature our association of churches’ annual meeting at 1:00. We have elected messengers to vote at this meeting but everyone is welcome to attend. We will hear reports about all the ministries going on in our association and make plans to continue the work and start new programs next year.

Then, beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 11 and running until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, October 12, we will join with the other churches in our association for a 24 hour prayer chain. This Day of Prayer will focus on praying for people who need to know Jesus. If you haven’t signed up yet to pray for a 15 minute time period there are still 13 slots available. Please see the poster by the coatrack to commit to pray and help us fill 24 hours with prayer.
