Based on Matthew 28:18-20, Pleasant Valley Baptist Church exists to make disciples of all nations. This mission as commanded by Jesus contains three actions:
These actions are lived out at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church within our three spheres of ministry—worship, discipleship and missions.
We hold weekly worship services in which we glorify God through reading Scripture, singing Scripture, praying Scripture, preaching Scripture, and administering the ordinances of baptism and communion. We regularly meet for discipleship programs in which we help people grow to become more like Christ. And our local and global missionary partnerships take the Gospel to the lost.
And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit teaching them to keep all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)

Wednesday evening Bible study and prayer groups at 6:30pm
Every Wednesday and Saturday our Church gives away free clothes to the community.

Our services consist of expositional preaching, fellowship, prayer, and congregational singing. The focus of our services as a whole, and each element individually, is on the glory of God and His grace in the gospel. Regardless of your background or church experience, God loves you and we would be honored to have you worship with us.
Sit with us at the feet of Christ. We gather Sunday morning’s at 10AM for Sunday School as well as every Wednesday at 6:30PM for Bible Study. Wednesday night includes a children and teens Bible study with a monthly missions emphasis.
For youth, several of our members and teenagers are also involved with Geneseo Young Life and gather regularly with them.
Our desire at PVBC is to show God’s love within our community and globally. Locally, we offer a full library with approximately 2,500 titles to choose from. Moreover, every Wednesday from 9:30AM to 11:30AM and Saturday 10AM – 12PM the clothes closet ministry is open to give away FREE clothes to the community.
We partner with the North American Mission Board for church planting and the International Mission Board for global outreach.
